You can order a repeat prescription in a number of ways:
You will receive an acknowledgement your request has been actioned. Please allow up to 5 days to collect your prescription from your nominated pharmacy.
Instead of ordering your script from the surgery you can go straight to your high street pharmacist to collect your medication for 6 or 12 months, dependant on your condition. Suitable for patients on stable medication who do not require reviews more than every 6 months such as; raised BP treatment, diabetes, thyroid replacement etc. Please ask for details.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please note that in normal circumstances we require 2 working days to process repeat prescription requests; e.g. requests for repeat prescriptions delivered to the surgery on a Friday will not be available until the Tuesday afternoon the following week.
If there is a query with your request you may need to allow more time, i.e. 3 or more working days. The receptionist will advise you if there are likely to be any problems. This is because your doctor may not be at the practice to look at your request on the day that you bring it to the surgery.

In England, around 90% of prescription items are dispensed free. This includes exemptions from charging for those on low incomes, such as:
These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.
If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.
